Forest Pavel, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in diagnostic and psychoeducational assessment of adults and adolescents. With regard to clinical psychological testing, he specializes in assessment of PTSD (to include combat-related PTSD), depression-related disorders, anxiety-related disorders, and personality disorders. He also specializes in psychoeducational career-focused personality assessment and consultation to assist students who are unsure of their educational and career pathways, as well as professionals who are considering a career change. Dr. Pavel also does ADHD assessments.

 

Dr. Pavel received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology, and completed his internship and post-doctoral residency at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, GA.

 

Prior to being in private practice, Dr. Pavel was an active-duty Army Psychologist who served as command psychologist for an Army Aviation Brigade, and Correctional Psychologist and Chief of Mental Health for the United States Disciplinary Barracks (the DoD's only Maximum-Security Prison). Dr. Pavel has led Traumatic Event Management teams responding to events as varied as soldier-suicide through the 2018 C-130 crash in Savannah, GA. He remains a supplementary instructor for the US Army's Aeromedical Psychology Training Course teaching on Aviation Mishap Response and Unmanned Aerial Systems and Aeromedical Psychology.
