The decision to pursue counseling can be very difficult, and so is finding the right counselor. To help with this process, I encourage people to call me first to make sure we have a strong personal connection during the counseling process. I offer a safe environment during counseling sessions where I invite you to discuss the issues you are struggling with and expand upon them in the depth you feel necessary to convey your thoughts and emotions.
I specialize in couples counseling (marriage counseling) - I am currently a level 3 Gottman Method Therapist, and I am in the process of pursuing the track to become a Certified Gottman Therapist. I also specialize in working with high-achieving adolescents who are struggling with anxiety and depression, and I work with adults with the same issues.

As a combat veteran, I also have an interest in working with veterans as they transition out of the military into civilian life. I strive to offer quality, affordable counseling in a space where you can feel comfortable exploring problems and solutions to becoming the best version of yourself.
I began my journey in life by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps upon graduating from high school where I served as a KC-130 aircraft mechanic and as a Marine Security Guard (MSG). During my three-year duty as a MSG, I provided diplomatic security at the U.S. embassies in Kuwait City, Kuwait; Helsinki, Finland; and Kathmandu, Nepal.
After leaving the Marine Corps in 2009, I attended Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri, where I graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I then attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City where I graduated in 2014 with a Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance with an emphasis on Mental Health. Upon graduation, I served as the Director of Counseling at the Missouri Academy of Science, Mathematics and Computing at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. In 2016, I achieved my longtime dream creating Fisher Counseling Services.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and three dogs. I also enjoy spending time on my wife’s family farm, reading and watching movies.

This choice protects you from acquiring a pre-existing behavioral health condition on your medical record.
Insurance plans require a diagnosis as part of filing a claim. This diagnosis will be discussed with you during your session and will be kept in your clinical record.
I accept the following insurance plans:

For clients who have insurance plans that are not listed above, I can create a superbill which can be used to apply for partial reimbursement from an insurance company.
I accept cash, checks and credit cards. Payment must be made at the time of service.
Because the appointment time is reserved for you, if you must cancel your appointment, it is important for you to do so at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time. Late cancellations are subject to the full fee of the session.
