Hello, my name is Diane Courtney. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), having recently joined the Fisher Counseling Team. I specialize in counseling with children 7+ years old, teenagers, adults, and couples. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling.

My goals are to counsel individuals who struggle with: Substance Use Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Self Esteem Issues, those struggling with obtaining healthy coping skills, Anger Management, and LGBTQ Struggles (Adults and Teens). My specialties when working with clients are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, as

well as teaching mindfulness and meditation skills.

 

My passion for counseling started with adjudicated juveniles in an inpatient residential facility back in 2002 and has grown from there. My primary goal is to assist individuals in gaining their own self-esteem and empower those that need it, to gain their own voice and effectively maneuver through life’s challenges. My goals for you will be to encourage self-confidence and personal accomplishment no matter how big or small. Every step forward is about progress not perfection. Remember, life is a journey not a destination, and I would be honored to share that journey with you.
